Sitting in Med/Surg class the other day, we were discussing different precipitating factors that contribute to heart disease, one of them being those with a type A personality. My friend, John reached over and drew a line through Type A in my notes, and free handed "Type Jared". And so the title of my blog was born, after all it is a blog about me.

Mmmm, fresh Mex!

The fish anything is great, the chips (did you tell them they are the Lords chips?) are thick and salty, the beans are real and tasty. Did I mention the obligatory sauce/salsa bar? Enjoy!
Oh, bless my soul! In your honor, I attended this fine establishment today for lunch...all I can say is delicious! I even tried the fish taco and boy was I surprised at it's deliciousness. Yum.

He prayed that he would be able to carry out his heavy assignment and that he could be given the faith of Enoch. The answer to his prayer was Enoch's faith came through personal righteousness. There is a great lesson, brother and sisters, in that response, which is consistent, of course with the words in section 121 of the Doctrine and Covenants, in which we are reminded that we cannot control the powers of heaven except upon the principles of righteousness. If you and I want to be more effective, we must be more righteous. If we want to have more faith, we must be more righteous, and we might as well face that reality.
